POLICY AND PROCEDURES

Cancellation Policy

Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel a treatment. If a client fails to cancel they will need to pay the service charge of the session.

Late arrival policy

I will inform all clients as soon as I am aware if I will be late to their treatment. This will only be accepted if it is due to unforeseen circumstances such as traffic issues. If I fail to do so the client will receive a free treatment session.

Treatment session times

Please be aware that the treatment time outlined is the total time your session will last. Any paperwork needed to be completed is included in this time slot and is explained underneath the session.

For returning customers a quick outline of the treatment plan and recap on how you got on since the last session will be discussed for around 5mins at the beginning of each treatment.

Informed consent

Prior to each treatment session the treatment plan will be discussed with you. Upon your first visit you will be asked to read through the company policies and asked to sign a consent form to acknowledge you understand everything and have read and comply with the massage therapy policies.

Respect for clients

We are happy to adjust pressure, towel positioning, time working on an area – we can stay longer on an area or move on if you request.

The client can leave as much clothing on as desires, refuse any massage methods or request to stop the massage at any point.

The client will always be draped in a professional manner. Only the area to be massaged will be exposed and the client will be informed of the areas being massaged.

Professional boundaries

Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between client and massage therapist is NEVER appropriate.

The breasts and genital areas will not be massaged under any circumstance. Permission will be asked when working close to these areas; otherwise a professional distance will be maintained.

Confidentiality

Every client will be treated with confidentiality and treatments will not be discussed outside the session without your express permission.

Existing and new medical conditions

It is the clients responsibility to make the massage therapist aware of any existing or new medical conditions; also to let them know of any medication you are taking. It is the clients responsibility to keep the massage therapist informed of all health conditions.

It may be that with some medical conditions we need to gain written proof from your doctor that we can go ahead with the massage treatment for example clients undergoing chemo and radiation therapy.
